Must Oils
Figs from harvested crops,
an organic vegetable oil extracted from the best prickly pear seeds
History and origin of Must Oils
Must Oils by Inès was born from a love of the land, its gems, Moroccan women who often have the chores of the land and more generally of an unconditional love of life.
It all started in the Atlas region, south of Marrakech. A veritable sun-drenched Eden, this region offers prickly pears with unique flavors, recognized throughout Morocco.
These are the inhabitants of these rural areas and the musical crops that inspired Must Oils by Inès.
The brand was born from a desire to support these women and men, to allow them to live on their land and to preserve their land just like their ancestral traditions.
Harvest and production
Picking fruits, also called “pear cacti”, which grow at the edge of the “rackets” of the cactus are provided with small prickles, resulting in long and difficult harvests.
The fruits are collected between June and September. At each stall, the women sing and collect the fresh figs. These musical crops contribute to the unique taste of the prickly pear, which has powerful properties.
It is from the extraction of seeds that the oil of prickly pear seeds emerges.
For 1 liter of oil, 1 ton of figs must be harvested which gives 30 to 50 kg of seeds.
It is after 8 hours of extraction and then meticulous filtering by drip that the prickly pear seed oil Must Oils by Inès is born, a pure product with a unique golden color.
It was in 2014 that Must Oils by Inès was certified organic and began exporting its oil to Europe and the United States.
More than an organic cosmetic product
Must Oils by Inès is not only the must of cosmetic products, it is also a committed brand.
- Committed to perpetuate ancestral traditions and allow the women and men of a remote region to emancipate themselves.
- Committed to promoting the jewels of the Moroccan land.
- Committed to sharing the treasures of nature with as many people as possible.
We want this vegetable oil, now rare and precious and therefore expensive, to become more democratic because the more you like it and buy it, the more the plantations will be numerous, will favor rural development in southern Morocco and will lower the price.
